With 20 years experience as a researcher, Betker has completed extensive qualitative and quantitative research across a variety of sectors ranging from agri-food to financial services to non-profit organizations such as CancerCare Manitoba, CropLife Canada, and Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC).
Over her career, Betker has designed numerous national quantitative and qualitative market research studies including consumer focus groups and in-depth interviews with executives. As a Senior Research Manager at Ipsos North America’s Global Research Services Group, Betker negotiated and coordinated more than 100 global market research studies, several of which required research to take place concurrently in 25 different countries.
Expertise developed while she earned her Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Foods and Nutrition from the University of Manitoba creating an opportunity for Betker to live and work in Sydney, Australia for three years. Betker held the title of Research Scientist at the Bread Research Institute of Australia where she initiated and implemented a sensory evaluation program at the Institute.
